Make a button located under each post where you can vote either "Good post" or "Bad post" . If it seems to you like the "Like" feature, yes that is similiar but you cannot "Dislike" on Facebook.
Purpose:
- small honor for the post writer.
- make it easier for new users to see what a good post looks like and what a bad one looks like.
- see what the users are interested in and in what they are not.
- ...

though other words may have a better feel, Good and Bad are quite suggestive..
for example: Hot and Cold
say after enough Hot clicks, there is added somewhere - "This Topic is Hot!"
and what of a neutral option as well? 
perhaps in the form of red - gray/white - blue radio buttons?

so this would be something similar to facebook's thumbs up and thumbs down or reddit's karma?
i would say that the current thumbs up/down user system is good enough while the thumbs up/down on each post would just be a waste of database...
