Something needs to be done with this, I don't know what..but it's getting ridiculous.
Obv I'm talking about the d3jsp vs d2jsp fg/ fg vs money trades, WAY to many scams going on.
I know someone is going to say "oh, they're not moderated" But yes, they are, There is at least three mods that are always willing to mod these.
Telling people "these trades aren't moderated" is NOT helping at all, it's making them not even try to get a mod and thus being scammed.
Maybe make a list of mods to pm for moderations, or stop it completely.
Used to be maybe one post in S/A every, what like 2 months? and usually it was crai...
Now theres a new post everyday and it's all d2jsp fg trades.

Meh, I don't like polls very much on my posts,
but I voted for "S&T helper" on your post, I like that idea alot.

I don't mind at all ,of course 
Well its just like really many people got scammed , there should be another group which basically mediates those trades.

In my opinion the scams represent the danger of the trade. I feel like people are welcome to come and do it but they need to know it isn't right.

Simple fix to this actually
Make mediation mandatory, anyone that is caught trading without one gets banned instantly.
That will clean it up fast, but you may need more mediators

nope, not gonna happen. We are never going to support these trades since anything involving with paypal or the other site is easy scam. Its either disallow all trades, or no moderation

Make mediation mandatory? What about us members that are actually trustworthy, you just need to know how to make the trade successful.
Ex. Make them go first, send the cash as a gift, then send your goods.
or
Make them go first, send the money, open / close dispute, then send goods.

Well there are only a few kind of trades and they all can be mediated with very low risk of the mediator:
D3jsp fg vs d2jsp fg:
Let you send the d3jsp fg. Keep this fg. Wait until the d2jsp fg has been send and both people tell you that it has been send. As soon as this happens, send the d3jsp fg out. If the d2jsp fg has not been send or at least someone claims that, keep the d3jsp fg till proofs have been posted and you either send the d3jsp fg back or send it to the other user.
D2jsp fg vs paypal:
In the same way. Let you send the d2jsp fg, do not touch the paypal money, because there is always a risk of it getting chargebacked. But at least if you hold the d2jsp fg, the money will be sent.
D2jsp account vs d2jsp fg or $:
As mentioned before.
As mediator just make sure that you only keep one thing if there is a risk for you of getting scammed. |

I used to always med them trades, but the risk is too great and the cost is too great.
It's illegal trades and such so it can't be supported.
I vote we might want to do something to fix it as well, or end up removing it all together. |

As far as I see it, 75% of the activity on this site is from the S&T section. Removing that would surely hurt this site activity wise.

Very True. What needs to be done is have restrictions as to who can post in there..
That will help with scams a bit.
Some restictions could be:
User has to have an account with 2 month join date (or something)
User has to have a certain amount of d3jsp
User has to have certain amount of posts
etc etc

See the issue is ToS contracts. If we openly support these trades then njaguar could theoretically bring about legal action. But, at the moment since we do not support them, it is a use at your own risk type of deal.
I like jessmops idea, make the S&T section have restrictions like a certain post count or certain amount of time on the forums before you can use them. Or we could treat them like the other site treats REAL LIFE TRADEs. make it only available to donor forum. That would weed out the scammers some.
Its tough because so much activity is there but alot of it is bad activity. tough call. Maybe someone willing to mediate these trades makes a guild, an UNASSOCIATED guild that could mediate these trades, that way we have mediators and support but D3JSP itself can say it does not support them
