im on my laptop and need help with 32 and 64 properties

[Cinemax]

appears I have win vista on this pc and it has 2 files in c/programs one is
program files

and one is

program files x84

I have problems opening programs and it appears my pc is running in 64 and I need it to run in 32 as 99% the programs andd designed for 32 compatability.

when I try and run a program like, msger or even notepad I get this.

( my screenshots do not work either so it's not an option )

your computer must be really screwed up...


try reinstalling it...

I think it comes down to how the programs read from the dir.
I think someone my have installed a program from the 64 or ( 86 ) dir.
When they are in the 86 dir they run in 64 bit mode, I dont know how to change to 32 bit dir for the programs.
I try and change it but I need admin permission, I am the darn admin on my pc for petes sake, this is so annoying.
I do not like the idea of paying a tech to fix it and charge me 110 bucks for 2 hours of thinking about it and 10 mins of work.
