Hackers are going to be in every online game. The thing about d2 is that most of the actual DECENT hackers that played it have moved on to different games. There's still a decent-ish sized hacking community, but that has more to do with things like warden, that aren't specifically FOR d2.

dunno if blizz is even interested in getting rid of the hackers, I'd like to think that if they were they'd be a lil more pro active at getting rid of them. But then again, could you imagine what a hr would be worth if no one was hacking? or even the cost of a runeword for that matter.

i use hack on bot. It's tmc or was. i havent ran it for awhile and i heard they were banning for tmc.

They can ban for any 3rd party program. But, those aren't really hacks. The people who actually HACK the game use a packet sender to make the diablo server think that something is happened. IE player x's live is now at zero(They die), or, baal just died(things drop), or something like that. You get banned VERY VERY quickly for those sort of things, tho.
