I bought the Brother HL-2140 when it was $60 on sale (about half off). Great deal. Still on the original toner cartridge.

ink printers just try to take $$ from you
you basically have to buy a new printer all the time since ink costs so much

Laser printer is the way to go, i have one and it is lasting 4 years and going
