I personally think that D3 is going to have a better success than SC2
D3 is bringing lots of improvements, but SC2 has much to live up for.
From what I see, some people are going to prefer the previous version of SC, which will not be the case for Diablo fans.
Why SC2 might have problem,
-Rock, paper, scissors game (Dif types of armor means some units are better than other units) unlike SC1 where its all about how you use the units.
-SC1's units are VERY VERY easily distinguishable unlike its SC2 counterparts.
But, im not saying SC2 will be bad, im just saying there are some things to look out for.
SC2 actually has lots of good points though. |

Technically SC had different types of armor too. Ghosts only did good damage against the light armored, smaller stuff for example.
But as said, this is all about whether you like RTS or RPG more. It's hard to compare them. SC2 should have more stuff on it though because of the map editor. So you'll be able to do RTS or RPG on it once the map makers get started. |

I dont like Diablo because i do not like the gamestyle... I like short and sweet games with much action.

You should get both, but don't get your eyes set on Diablo 3, I mean it's been 10 years and SC2 hasn't come out yet, Ghost cancelled, so who knows how long D3 will take to be released.
Unless they've announced the D3 release date already, in which case I sound dumb now.

Buy the two games. Starcraft will 100% be game of 2009. And Diablo..may be game of 2010 and 2011 They would be great! Can't wait for them.
