I prefer AMD over intel but that is a nice processor depending on what you are looking to do with a computer, Of course with any computer you buy/build it goes to what you are going to be using it for ect ect
I use a AMD 3800 series X2 dual core myself

8 cores means it has 8 cpus you nub head lol
no other computers in history has 8 cores...
the hightest number of cores before this was a quad core...
i can say this just because you said that: COMPUTER NOOB!!! and i have no respect for comp noobs...

| the amd fushion will dominate it because the the video card is built into to the processor. So what ever speed the cpu runs at the video card can run at. |

Intel core i7 does not really have 8 cores. It really has 4 cores but they pulled the hyper threading trick which allows unused parts of the processor do stuff, thus showing up as 8 cores. Maximum PC did some testing on the core i7 and found that it did perform better then the Core 2 Extreme QX9770 but only at the elite level the Core i7-920 and the Core i7-940 performed close the the core 2's scores.
