I understand exactly, the point is people aren't using bitcoin for bitcoin, they are using it as an intermediate commodity. I view it as something like gold or silver, unless it gets some sort of long established value vs other commodities, it can't be used as such.
I'm all for bitcoin use, ogrr has launched a site with that in mind exclusively, but I don't see their userbase increasing dramatically.
