quick question for d2 players

ok here is what happened
i have a nice account name, its been used before by someone but it expired and i took it
i also registered it
im using it today on my bot and suddenly after restart its said that password is invalid :O
i recovered it immediately np

i want to know now if i registered this acc, is my mail the one and only that can be used to recover password
and actually how the fuck did it happen that the account had pw changed
nothing's missing btw. kolbot and project 1.3 is the only shit im using also cd key changer and thats it

A popular scam on D2jsp is to sell an account and double-register e-mails. So like 2 match the same account. This happens if your account name has been linked to an e-mail before, it expired, and you create the same account name. This means your account is linked to his e-mail and to yours. Have you by any chance bought the account?

no i randomly checked if its free to take and it was, thats it.
i registered it and successfully recovered pw 10 minutes ago

If it expired that means the old e-mail is still available. Sounds like it was a popular account name so the chance is there. Only thing I can think of at least.
