#1 Posted: 01 Oct 2013 12:01 am Post subject: How does Kolbot handle gear repair? |
|
|
Hi guys...this is my first post on this forum, so please be gentle with me. I have been playing d2 for many years using the Kukbot most of the time. Recently I wanted something better so I tried the old d2nt and it was just ok, then tried the new Etal d2nt but couldn't get my leecher in game fast enough behind my runner (on kolbot someone else setup for me), so I finally found the setup guide for the kolbot and completely re-setup my runner myself and also my kolbot attack followbot. I am so proud of myself at 71 yrs old being able to do that.
Anyway, my question is how does kolbot handle repair of gear? I can't find anywhere how it is handled. The reason I ask is because my leecher wore out a pair of sandstorm treks (Eth) because she was killing andy, treehead, and mephisto by the time the runner gets the star portal call up and then going on to help kill diablo and baal.
Any help on this subject would be most graciously appreciated.

Kolbot automatically repairs all items when it needs to. However, the reason your sandstorm is not being repaired is because it is probobly low on max durability, and only repairs 1 point every 20 seconds. Also Ethereal items sadly cannot be repaired ever, unless you socket them with a zod rune, so if the item does not have automatic repair per seconds, you could have a problem there. You can try wearing a different pair of boots (war travelers are good, so are hotspurs for mf'ing. It depends alot on what your bots main function is (most are either mf'ers or leader/leechers)
You will need non eth sandstorms if you don't want that particular problem.
Also im sorry i haven't been able to help you set up kolbot. I know you came to me with questions, but some other priorities got in the way. I sent a reply back to the email address u told me to contact, lmk if you got it. Kolbot has many amazing features just waiting to be found (cubing, making of runewords, gambling bot, chant bot, manual leecher, automule ect...) I would be more than happy to show you them all.
And if i am busy at any given time, you can also contact D3vil@d3jsp. He and I both are very good at setting up bots, and he has a wider range of knowledge on the subject

Sandstorm treks are eth rep boots cannot socket them nor would you have to worry about them breaking
They repair themselves!
^rep
Seeing how durability runs out slow 20 seconds is fast also only has 8 dura on it

Thanks to ALL for the replies. Like I said, been playing d2 for many years. I just always assumed eth treks wear repaired with other gear. Guess I just burned out the eth-treks cause my leech followbot is so fast and runs 24/7. I did replace the eth- treks with non-eth- treks and she is off running again. My type of running is not the norm for most botters. My runner and leechers only pickup pots and gold, therefore carry a full inventory. My goal is to furnish a place for others to level up their chars in a safe environment without having to worry about hostilers. I get my most joy when my runner and leecher can pk the hostiles. They are having to double team me now to even stand a chance of survival. I love it.
For my purposes the Kolbot is the best bot ever that I am aware of.
Thanks again.
