If you're looking for comedy/romance, you won't go wrong with "Kaichou wa Maid Sama".

You can also try "Kimi ni Todoke" or "Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun"

Ive seen many anime shows. Those best matching your description of particularly good taste are:

Bleach (more drama/action related but still comedic and romantic with their powerful character developments)

Inuyasha (designated the "feudal fairytale". A love story between a dog demon and a teenage high school girl who gets trapped in another world. Story centers around their struggles in conquering each's goals.

Naruto (Similar to bleach in a way. action packed but has alot of comedy. Focuses on a young ninja wanting to be the very best. Kinda like Ash Ketchum but less of the gayness...)
