Agreed, To be honest, I hope trading forums aren't a big variable in D3.
The Auction House should eliminate the need for them, but like you said..I think they will be used for Game gold mainly.
Or mainly arranging trades, such as people do on Ladder Slasher.
Ladder slasher's AH is set up similar to the D3 AH, yet people still post the trades in the LS trading forums.
