We technically already have a forum for the discussion around the Diablo series, including D3
I suppose re-adding a seperate forum soon would be fine, and just adding a single trading forum.
I don't see the need for multiple trading forums (such as diablo) considering [hopefully] the majority of trading will be on the game itself. _____________________ ONCETHEREWASALINKHEREANDNOWITISGONEYES

I don't think it will be usefull.
People will use Selling & Trading part of the forum, or will use the AH with gold / RM. _____________________

a lot of people will buy items with fg n sell it for real cash, so fg value will go up
having one section would be nice then we can see the activeness to add more if needed |

that would not make fg value raise...
in fact, people would look to get fg cheap as possible, to make more room for profit during "conversion".
right now FG is the medium between diablo items and money (for most people), which is why it's so popular. the auction house rids that.
but i heard something about there being a 1$ cap, if so, then the auction house will not be a success _____________________

A $1 cap? What do you mean? $1.00 maximum costs? That's not true
From what I've heard, there is a max amount of $250 dollars per item. That's just what I heard, I'm not sure there is any cap at all. |
i read around here the other day, someone posted they read that the might make a max amount per trade of 1$.
i didn't look into it, didn't claim it as truth either.
i like what you heard much more then what i heard. _____________________

Yeah, Blizzard won't make a $1 cap..That'd be a waste of the AH and a waste of their potential profit from it.
But you're right about the FG thing, I don't see a point in using it for D3.
Anyone who has any valuable items will be selling it on the RMAH, I would assume. _____________________ ONCETHEREWASALINKHEREANDNOWITISGONEYES

yah, 1$ cap would effectively make the AH useless.
However, I think fg may still be a form of currency for services such as lvl jobs n such. with MUCH less buying power.
Then again i've read nothing of what blizzard has actually said about the AH so idk if there is a practical way to pay for services through the AH. _____________________

AH is meant for purely items. They said you can basically sell any item you want on the AH, but not like..leveling services or "rushes".
But really, I see people using in game gold for the services to, seeing as there is an IGG auction house, which will still be popular because not everyone will use paypal/have a paypal.
But yeah, I'm sure a lot of people will use FG for the services.

very interesting, so is gold in diablo3 going to become more like gold in WoW?
by that i mean, an actual form of player to player currency, not just npcs. _____________________
