I havent formated my comp in a long time. My comp is slow as hell. Too lazy to back up stuff and format again.
What should I do? All I can think of is to delete unneccessary stuff and do a full defragmentation.
Btw, good idea opening this forum tram. Looking forward to learn some stuff off 2nd year ECE student _____________________

A- disk clean up in system tools (start-programs-accessories-system tools)will delete the temp files and many other useless files. this in addition to a defrag is helpful.
B- Your computer may have the ability to "Restore" to an earliere time ( the day after last format?)
C- Depending on the definition of (a long time) perhaps a new computer? _____________________ How may I be of service to you?

Yeah lol. just buy external hard drive or just buy some disks and back up game files and files you need to back up and then format with a program called eraser. it formats everything. not just like the c promt it formats all. _____________________

I would go for re-formatting if what you said is true about it's been awhile since the last one. You'll be glad afterwards, it will make the whole system run smoother just like it came from the factory. It will only take 1-2 hours for me to have everything, I don't know about how fast your processor is. And just save the important files you want to a cd-rom. What version of windows do you have anyway? |

You should do a disk cleanup (empty ur bin, delete temporary internet files, clear history, clear cookies, etc, etc) then defrag and scan and it should be better. restarting might help also _____________________
