I agree the rep system should be taken away..
It is pointless.
I do not agree with the ability to be able to delete your own rep for the fact that there are alot of immature people that will rep someone then they won't agree with them down the road and be like " Oh I hate this guy now screw him.)

So Jeff bad idea.

There is nothing fair about giving someone something you thought they deserved just to take it away.. If you feel you are going to want to unrep someone some day just do not rep them at all..
It really is quite simple.

he said bring back the - rep like it used to be

- rep used to be an option

edit: your first line is i agree the rep system should be taken away

where in his post is there a suggestion of that?

I think even the "+" and "-" rep is pointless . I was suggesting a full rep removing . The rep won't give you any clue of the guy with who you are dealing .

personlay i think its a nice feature

like ebay has it

helps you determine if the buyer or seller is good ect

Yes , but there the peoples don't know each other and they are not forced to give +rep .. Here you may ask someone "I added you +rep to you , may you do this for me ?" . So i think it's useless.

you can simply not ask ect

and this is a thread suggestiong to add the - rep back

not to suggest to remove the system
