I usually give a shit about American politics because it's completely futile. Nothing ever changes because the system is setup in a way that does not allow an adaptive government. Some would argue that's why America is so stable, but on the flip side it makes politics incredibly boring to discuss since all the hypothetical debate never manifists into reality. You're picking between Republicans and Democrats, and there is VERY little to pick between the two parties. Republicans want to tax the richest tax class 45% and the Dems want to tax them 55%, cool story and the pointless circus continues. Enough of this equally pointless rant though...


I am by no means an Obama lover (voted Bob Barr in 2008) however it's pretty annoying when the top headlines of the nation continuously say (for the past several weeks) was he or wasn't he born in the US? It's too late to discuss it because he's already president. Realistically does any politician think he's going to get impeached or not elected next term because of that fact? Of course not, there just shooting blanks trying to draw headlines. A scientist at Iowa State University has taught monkeys how to communicate with an EEG that tracts blood flow to the brain and translates certain 'heated up' areas directly into words that a machine says. It says very basic thins like "Happy", "Angry", "Hungry", "Tired". This article was on like the 12th page of the paper while "Proof Obama was born in Kenya" was the front page story. This is why the US is going downhill faster than a bunch of starving angry africans chasing a cheetah (that would be mad fast), we have our priorities so out of whack.
