I need some 25-50 IB dumbbells. I had some Walmart ones for 3ish years and the head fell off. It was pretty awkwardly shaped too and I thought it's a decent time to actually get a decent pair. Insights?

garage sales


i picked up 2 real high quality curl bars, 2 so-so bench bars, and about 340 lbs of weight(real nice assortment of 25/10/5 lb plates) for $5 one time

and another time i picked up 240 lbs + 2x 25 lb hand weights + 2x 10 lb hand weights + one of those reall crappy bow-flex weights where you put it in the stand and twist it and it changes the weight and leaves/takes weights off of the stand for $5 and i actually probably could have offered less


its a nice concept but it is to awkward for my tastes, i do a lot of extensions and isometrics, so if i am raising the palm to the sun while doing tyson squats, i cant really afford the awkardness of the weights pressing into my forarm while raising

i ended up just sucking it up and going to sportmart, expensive but the quality is pretty good

personally I just go to the gym, not a big fan of having weights around the house.

in going to the gym you assure yourself that you will use them, if they're in the house you'll neglect them
