LURED.
Cool so I am going to phone my ISP finally and ask to change my whole ip address. I had a d2jsp account recently(a 09 one) which I used via proxy and nfag disabled it after 6-7 days. I guess there is no chance for me to use d2jsp except changing to a brand new ip. So what should I say to my ISP?
'Umm hello I'd like to change my ip'?
They would ask why?
I don't want to make myself a total idiot saying oh cuz I got banned from a forum.... I also can't say because somebody else uses my ip cuz they would ask how did I recognized it etc...
What the heck should I say.... why do I want to have a new ip? Anybody suggest me a not too silly reason plz.
And at last, is this even possible to ask my ISP for a new ip? :'D

 | Well uhm, you could say , you think somebody uses your IP.
Don't say you know it ,but tell them you think someone else uses it.
I think that would be no problem at all.
Or just ask if this is possible?. _________________ This user's signature has been disabled |

Even if you sound stupid, just tell them the truth. I'm sure they'll do it regardless if their customer asks. |

I'm on dynamic address pool but the start-run-cmd-ipconfig/release etc stuff doesn't work.
I need a brand new ip. _________________ This user's signature has been disabled |

Yes I do have 2.... tho I only use one, which connects me to the router.
Why should I go through IE? Or what should I do...? _________________ This user's signature has been disabled |

on a lot of dynamic connections if you change your mac address it changes your ip
some routers let you ( i don't know why ) clone the mac address of your pc however ti can be used to put in a random one ive used this to change my ip mulitple times
so just find a new one |

Never worked with D-link so...
Code: | WAN - Dynamic IP Address
Select this option if your ISP (Internet Service Provider) provides you an IP address automatically. Cable modem providers typically use dynamic assignment of IP Address.
Host Name - (optional) The Host Name field is optional but may be required by some Internet Service Providers. The default host name is the model number of the device.
MAC Address - (optional) The MAC (Media Access Control) Address field is required by some Internet Service Providers (ISP). The default MAC address is set to the MAC address of the WAN interface in the device. You can use the "Clone MAC Address" button to automatically copy the MAC address of the Ethernet Card installed in the computer used to configure the device. It is only necessary to fill the field if required by your ISP. |
