Ok, So atleast for ladder there is a reset on each realm every once in awhile. Not sure about other games but it would work for them too.
I suggest that we have like an archive forum, one where posting wont give anything and every reset or whatever the old ladder subforums could just be moved into archive. Has to be like a mass move button or something... if not they nvm because that would take forever lol
Idk, tell me what you think, maybe hide it from regular view but make it still accesible from direct link. or straight up delete for server space and speed.
I personally thought it would be cooler for all forums but its easier to explain for d2 lol.
But when it comes to other forums maybe when something become 1-2 months without post it moves into archive or something, i mean the code wouldnt be too terrible for something like that right?
Something along the lines of (not in any particular language, just a sample of like how it would go about happening, again this will not work with ANY language lmao)
$postdate = Getlastpostdateinmonths
$Variable = 2 (months)
If $postdate >$variable then
Send to http:blahblahblahblah/archive

I dont mean close them, i mean move them to a viewable archive subforum... That way say i find a GG circlet (this is fake)

And i want to have proof that i indeed found it, i want to put it in my profile. If we archived old threads then i would be able to link to it, but it would be away from the rest of the trading and such so that it wouldnt be grave dug every 5 minutes. and the archive subforum would be like battlefield so users wouldnt get post count or fg for posting in it.
It would keep the mods from having to close every single topic, would keep confusion out of the forums.

Yes i understand what you are saying but I doubt it will ever happen but it deff needs to!
this would avoid so many things including people abusing the fg for posts privileged

Maybe all off-topic and blizzard chat forums archived after perhaps five years. There really should be no fg gain in Selling and trading, as well as Diablo trade subs.
