ya, thats right. these movies are 100% free. They discuss the current trend of bittorrent filesharing and its predecessors such as the printing press..... wonder how todays internet filesharing system corresponds with the printing press an invention so old its almost outdated? This is an issue of our times. How do you feel about it?

Should we agree with the monopoly there is in the world? (let me explain this a bit better... Ill use microsoft as an example)

Microsoft had a monopoly because they were forcing PC makers to put windows on their computer. Often threating to revoke their license to sell windows if their specifications were not met. They did it again by making the Internet Explorer browser an UNINSTALLABLE feature of Windows 98, even though netscape and several others had browsers.

"In economics, a monopoly (from Greek monos / μονος (alone or single) + polein / πωλειν (to sell)) exists when a specific individual or an enterprise has sufficient control over a particular product or service to determine significantly the terms on which other individuals shall have access to it.["

Where do record companies come into the picture? They offer a product( a band's music) to the public. The company decides who can and cannot sell the music, who can or cannot use the music, who can or cannot view the music. etc... For a good example go to youtube and visit Metallica's Official Channel.... A large portion of the videos are unavailable. You must visit Metallica's Website to view them... Have you tried listening to Korn on playlist.com? You can't all of their songs were removed. Why is it that companies that sell products arent allowed to own a monopoly yet the concept of a record company is a monopoly....

Has anyone watched these movies yet? or did i just waste my time lol. So much for intelligent conversation... maybe i should just start making mod flame threads instead people seem to like those more than anything where you may possibly learn.

O well ill keep posting intelligent posts and hopefully i find someone that can correspond without it turning into a childish battle over who can use the most cuss words in a single paragraph..
