If I were to buy a CD key from somebody on this site, can I download and install d2 on my computer without having any disks?

most keys that people trade are not legit in the fact that you can't use them to download the game from blizzard, (but you can use them once you have the game installed to login to bnet to play the game). So you will likely need to get a copy of the ISO's.
