How do y'all feel about the story / progression of it? I liked that the hero was voiced - feels more like, just like the powers, that you were in complete control of the story. Despite always having to come back to Leah or whatever.

I get it, people are upset about Cain's death, but to be honest with you - when I fired up d2 for the first time, I found it confusing Cain had to be in that game as well. I mean, he was old in the first game - and in the 2nd game he's just super duper old. He had to be killed off. People are bitching cause he didn't get a cutscene or whatever. I think it heightened the authenticity that it happened "in game".

When that's said and done: The in game cinematics feels so much like wc3. I loved them in that game, cause it was so silly - here... I'm not really convinced. I see that it couldn't really be changed much, but I'm still KINDA disappointed. It's a trend from d2, the way I see it. The first Diablo game was so gritty, dark and rough. Diablo II took a more comedic route with the graphics - turning away from the darkness and kinda scary environment from the first game. The characters, evil, NPCs, playable, monsters all became kinda cartoon-ish. I find it obvious that they on some levels try to go back to their d1 roots - but.. The cut scenes are too far from the original game, however lively they feel.
I love the crow from the first cinematic though. If my mind do not fail me, the first thing you see in a Diablo 1 cinematic is a fucking crow. That is awesome. I mean, it's symbolic as well as a reference. It's a story that starts and end, pays tribute to the beginning and uses a cinematic to create a frame around the story itself. That's cool.

In other spoiler news:

It was VERY cool to have Adria back - a bit obvious in the end, cause, well, she was a mean hag in d1 - but still. A very nice touch - and I liked the whole "Leah's mother" gig. Cool.

Hidden:
Everything plot-twist while was fucking obvious. Leah being the "wanderer" 's daughter (thereby making her Diablo's daughter) - ... why of course. saw that a mile away. The Stranger from a1 being Tyrael ... They might as well have skipped that step and just called him "fallen angel" or "tyrael" to begin with. It's a tad bit disappointing, but meh.. It's like the skill system and shit - why do game companies have to treat gamers like utter idiots who has to have everything obviously laid out before you? That's stupid

Hidden:
Being an avid d1 player Leoric and The Butcher were AWESOME. Overall, a1 was amazing. Furthermore, a4 in heaven was very cool in contrast to both d1 and d2 and their final acts. Likewise, Izual was AMAZING. And thankfully a lot harder than the other bosses in a4.

Well, those are my thoughts.. What do YOU think?

And for anyone

Diyou know there's an option in the options menu that lets you put any skill anywhere? If you were forced to follow their skill system I would hate it; but you don't have to.

Also I really liked act 3, it brought me back to diablo 2 and 1.

Like.. have your 4th skills et as the 3rd? That seems obvious, yeah.

Did you know, if you hit enter, and shift+ leftclick you can show your new found item to everyone?

i really felt a1 had a lot of tributes to d1 .. Mainly cause, I mean, you could explore AROUND the church and shit. Was awesome

To be honest, I really like all the acts. I feel like within a few patches blizzard will solve their issues and the game is going to be amazing. All the haters just need to chill out.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about the game as well, although I would like to add that the soundtrack doesn't live up to the ones composer by Matt Uelmen in the preceding games. Those were really nice, and added a lot to the game's atmosphere, I really missed that in d3.

As for most bosses in Act 4 being too easy. Well, yes, they were. But then again, from my first baby steps through nightmare, it seemed to have gotten a lot harder. I can hardly imagine what it'll be like on Inferno, so untill then I'll give the game the benefit of the doubt on that aspect.

Yeah I'm not going to judge the difficulty of the game until I get to inferno. So far my barb has had no problems soloing anything including the "hard" act4 boss bob was talking about. Although he was the biggest challenge for me so far.
