You can gift it to your other character, and then gift it to your character after DK.

You keep like 1 equipment item.
Unless it's miscellaneous. You keep miscellaneous always.

How do I gift it while I have it equipped? I know you can gift through the Shop but I'd have to buy it again.

This is how it goes.

In the event you use 2 chars Do not use referral on more then one char ! You will be banned.
If you use 2 chars then to transfer it does take a loss, however you can do this by selling the item ( for less then you purchased it for losing gems/gold ) and Re Purchasing it as Gift for another char.
So, You must sell it, then re purchase it for a loss, but its worth it in the end.

You are only permitted to send one gift at a time.
Log off, Pick up gift at

Ye Old equipment shop.
Then go back and send another gift.
