how about you guys start requiring email verification in order to register. atm the system makes it super easy to create a multi account. you can use bogus email addresses like 10 minute mail and you don't even have to validate your account

And it takes longer, therefore it slows them down.
As long as it slows them down at all, it's worth it.

i really don't see a point of this though, we have other ways of stopping spammers and multi. Email verification will just slow legit users down, in fact, most of them will just move away if they don't receive the email instantly or are too lazy to check their mail

lol, how would it slow legit users down? They will only be making one account.
Besides, legit users are usually from previous forums, and won't care about the verification.
I've never met anyone who has left a site because of a email verification requirement.
