Last time I questioned this the argument for no profanity in the shoutbox was some shit about family friendly front page or family friendly website, fuck if I remember exactly.
This is complete and utter nonsense. Seriously, no profanity on the front page? I can make a topic in the battlefield named "faggot hick admin" and it will show on the frontpage until someone comments in a different thread in the battle field. I could make a thread titled "fuckity fuck fuck fuck mcfuckerson junior fuckington" and it will stay on the front page until someone comments in a different thread.
I can say fuck in any thread I want anywhere on the forum and it will go unnoticed and there is no punishment for it, except for this thread because I'm calling out the bullshit rule.
The idea that the shoutbox should be treated any differently than the rest of this forum is asinine. The shoutbox is not some isolated entity that has no relation to the rest of the site.
