Coda? Final Cut? They're both much better programs than their PC counterparts, also, Mac only.

Sure, PC's are cheaper, and you can overclock them, but average joe doesn't need to do that, and doesn't care about it either.

By the way, I use a pc, not a Mac.

yes you are right...
an average joe wont need that... but then a the definition of an average joe is someone who is stupid and doesn't know anything about computers.... so ya... smile

Computer noob?

Let me guess, you've never used a modern mac? Right.
yeah... of course...

i have 6 pcs and a mac tongue

p.s. i am a professional programmer...

And you're too thick to realise that Mac's are better than PC's for certain applications?
nope...
seriously... name 1 application that is better on a mac then on a pc...

trust me.. the saying of some applications run better on a mac then a pc is a complete myth...

i have tried everything btw... and a pc will always be cheaper and more powerful then any macintosh...

can your macintosh be upgraded to an equivalent speed of a core i7 then overclocked to almost 2 times the speed with an add on cpu cooler to balance it off?
can you rig your macintosh to run on nothing but solid state hard drives and start up with in a millisecond?
can your macintosh run bioshock on full graphics with out any upgrades on full graphics?
can your macintosh run windows7, linux, and mac OS X at the same time?

sorry... i am too lazy to keep typing he list... but serously... name 1 thing that your mac can do and a pc can't...

p.s. i bought a macintosh because i had too much money around and was bord... and though about trying something new....
i hacked the mac and broke it down to bare bones in both hardware and software and determined that it is no better then a pc in many many many ways...

p.p.s and if you think you can do movie editing and photoshop better on a mac then a pc... then you obviously have not seen how they work (IDENTICALLY!) on a pc... (oh... and personnaly i find that the tool bars are easier and more conveniently located on a pc then a mac...)

sorry, just felt like being a bit of a douche lol....
~~name 1 application that is better on a mac then on a pc...~~~
Qmaster, Koda, Iweb, Itunes, Photoshop Cs4, Adobe Illustrator Cs4

~~~can your macintosh be upgraded to an equivalent speed of a core i7 then overclocked to almost 2 times the speed with an add on cpu cooler to balance it off?~~
maybe not the overclocked part but, yes... easily. because i am not a hardware person (as in i have no experience in installation of hardware) i simply take my mac to the genius bar, tell them... hey i want this.. they say cool.. i come back after going to lunch and grab my computer... good to go
can you rig your macintosh to run on nothing but solid state hard drives and start up with in a millisecond?
(not hardware guy, so no clue)if you need your computer to boot in a millisecond, you are in WAAAY to high tense computer usage situation.... JOHNNY IF THAT COMP DOESNT BOOT IN 3 MILLISECONDS THIS THING IS GONNA BLOW!!!! lmao
can your macintosh run bioshock on full graphics with out any upgrades on full graphics?
most likely (never tried it), its called 64 bit, also run Cod-mw2 on full graphics without any problems
can your macintosh run windows7, linux, and mac OS X at the same time?
yes, actually doing it right now, well not windows 7 (i have no use for windows 7 since its a mac osx COPY)
im running mac osx, windows XP sp3, linux ubuntu
mac is my primary where i do all my work
windows xp is simply for doing simplistic programming and if i want to play some game that doesnt work on my mac
linux is my test webserver setup, for those nice usability testing days lmao
as for the one thing my mac can do that your pc cant?
not suck balls
*disclaimer* i enjoy all OS's, each one for their specific things tongue
thats nice...
though really... the idea that some applications work better on a mac then a pc is a complete myth...
i run all those exact application you mentioned... plus if you noticed... all those applications were developed on the pc and released for the pc first, then the mac...
oh... and pc is more of a do it your self thing where you dont have to waste money to get someone else to upgrade it...
i have 6 pcs and 2 macs... (one pc is running Linux for fun tongue)
but ya... macs are a pain to upgrade or even change parts!
example: you have to open the case, remove the monitor, remove the power supply behind that, then the cd drive, the speakers... blah blah blah... just to get to the friken memories!
(well... maybe not that complicated... but you gt the point...)
here is my pc:
XD
btw.. windows 7 is not a mac os copy... its got like at least 50 features the mac os doesn't... can your mac os link to your tv? xbox? ps3? cell phone?
oh... and window snapping, blah blah blah.. the list goes on and on... (i know because i have a mac too just for fun tongue and been a comp geek, i know everything about them both! briggrin)
p.s. that idiot with the huge picture has just been reported to the moderators... (have fun been banned...)
