geeZ your well informed lol

Military has taken over which is a dictatorship. They've only
been there a week and they're claiming to clean the corrupt cabinet/parliment out...but how many times have a military taken over the government and just refused to leave (ironically being worse than the initial dictatorship at times)? Getting rid of Mubarak was the easy step, cleaning
up and restoring democracy in a timely manner will be the acid test.

it says something when he has that sullimam guy or w/e his name is as the vp. That guy offered to sell the head of his brother to Saudi Arabian mafia in exchange for a political position. The president, vp, cabinet, they're all in a dirty bed together. Hopefully they will die in that piss rotten bed.

The people have made it this far peacefully, the military will eventually step down. If they do not, the people will simply make their voices heard. I have never been more proud in my life to see this finally happening. I dont care about democracy or what system they chose. They were unhappy and overthrew their government without shedding blood. In doing so, they have proven to every country, that they as a collective group are stronger than any government. Governments are to serve the people, not the other way around.

I applaud their actions. As for mubarak, even though he was not a good man, i applaud that he stepped down. The theft of all this money ruins it for me though. I had not heard of this before your comment basi, is this fact?

I hope to see the people of egypt set an example to the world. that as always, it is the choices we make in life that decide our fate. The president and parliament chose to be corrupt and injust. in return the people chose to oust them.

Egypt was the perfect example of a peaceful transfer of power, very few casualties and injuries. This happened because the army was behind the people.

...Now look at Iran and Libya. Iin Iran the protests have pretty much stopped because they know they will all get slaughtered. In Libya the situation is even more interesting, the army is with the people, however the corrupt government is recruiting and paying african mercenaries and armies of rogue governments (zimbabwe et al) to stop the protests.
