Manga is a type of comic, very similar to anime, dunno what the diffrence is acctuarly..

Manga's are japanese or chinese comics. Just like we have Batman or the X-Men, they have stuff like, well off the top of my head, Dragonball. Dragonball started out as a manga before becoming a cartoon in the early-mid 80's.

The Manga artform has actually been around for almost 70 years.

There is also a great deal of dirty manga. It's basically hentai/manga. If you don't know what hentai is, it's basically the anime you see in cartoons except sexually explicit. Hentai/manga's are quite popular even in America... god I know too much info on shit -.-
