I've introduced so that if you click on the rep button displays a poll wheres a thumb up or down symbol shown.
then we could all use a good or not good and no scammer or flame rep.
than the moderators have more time for other things and no stress with rep removing smile

I like the idea but i have the a problem that there wouldnt be any comments why a person gives + oder - rep.
I think there should be the + or - as you said and the option to give a comment. To my mind the comment is a very important factor.

There used to be a - rep, but it was always abused.
I don't care , but I doubt tram will re-add this.

Comments are needed for people viewing the rep
Without comments you wouldn't know why people gave him a bad rep(could be a scam, could be trash talk, or just not liking him)

Comments are the best part about the rep, imo

It should be a bit boring for moderators but..
I've seen a lot of scammer giving each others free reps so when a new member was trading with them he saw like 10 reps + and he though "he must be trusted, he got some much + reps" and he got scammed, instead imo after a trade is done the traders should pm the a mod showing the proofs that the trade has been done for real and he will make possibile to exchange a rep, as in ebay.. Obviusly people can do fake reps also in this way but It won't be so easy as It is now. I also see a lot of people with reps like "he helped me, trustable" or "nice guy, funny"..(You can see one in my reps too but I obviusly didn't give it back because I can't know how that guy is trusted just because we talked 3 min). they are useless and also not safe because getting + reps in this way it's easy and it can make possibile a scam. I think this method could be a bit boring for mods.. but maybe the admin could add a moderator that will only take care about this work, regards.

i so do not understand this recent string of rep posts. It is an option that you can choose to use or not use. Adding all this extra stuff will make it completely useless, I dont trade. i dont have anything to trade, this is a stop along with a couple other forums for information and discussion. My reps are based on my actions or conversation or help. There are others like that as well. The reputation system is a way to "vouche" a user. How many times do you see a trade topic and like 5 vouches in it on certain other sites. this puts them into a combined place. Do you trust every single vouche you see on certain other sites? scammers will try damn near anything to scam. If you remove the rep you remove the chance that it does help someone spot a scammer. wether you remove it or not the scamming will still be here

I think it's a good idea to allow people to negative rep others. It would really alert everyone to scammers.

But, this can also be abused by a couple vindictive souls with a lot of multi accounts
