The answer to your question is easily a hammerdin.
Cheap gear to go for:
Shako
Enigma MP
HOTO Flail
Spirit paladin shield 35 fcr (this probably will be the most expensive item, especially if it's on nonladder)
one fcr ring
soj or bk ring
Arachnids belt
Trangs gloves
Boots of your choice: Treks, Aldurs, Hotspurs, etc.
Maras
on switch: cta and garbage spirit
charms: plain pcombat gcs and plain 20 life scs
You will reach 125 fcr with this setup and your resists should be fine. If not, swap some 20life scs with plain 5 all resist scs.
This setup probably will cost only a couple hundred fg, depending on realms. |

My favorite budget char has always been the fireclaw were-bear build.
it only costs around 100fg to build as well.
gear:
helm: decent Cerberus bite, or 190+%ed jalals
plate: chains of honor archon plate, nice res, str, +2 all skills
shield: storm shield is a great choice for this build. phoenix is also a great choice, as it gives ed/-fr% but a little more pricy.
weapon, 6x shaeled phase blade. This is a must. no other options
rings: either ring on switch, but you have to have at least 1x angelic ring (switch rfrost, dwarf etc as needed)
ammy: angelic ammy. There's not really any other choice. as you need the extra ar.
gloves: some up'd bloodfists, or dracs.
belt: dungo's 40/15 is best, but any will do.
boots: sandstorm treks. Gotta have some fhr
charms: ss life gc's/ss fhr gcs (have to hit the 6frame bp for this build to be most effective)
torch
anni (the higher torch/anni the better)
stats:
str:enough for gear (shouldn't need TOO much here)
dex: Enough for max block/phase blade (shouldn't need too much past the req for pb)
vit:all
energy:none
skills:
All pre-reqs 1
Oak Sage 1
Ravens 1 (This can be helpful in stunning opponent)
Fire Claws 20 (main skill)
Fissure | 20 (synergy)
Volcano | 20 (synergy)
Molten Boulder | 20 (synergy)
Rest into Lycanthropy(for more life), or Fire Storm(for more fire damage) you can also substitute any for more oak sage life.
my wearbear druid had over 10k hp, and did and 12k+ damage EASILY
great and fun budget char |

Depends how far along in the season you are. Blizz is by far the cheapest. Tal set, spirit mon, wtrav, nagel, chancies. When you can afford enigma, make a generic hdin. Hoto, hoz, shako, wtrav, magefist, rfrost, dwarf, tgods, and mara. A hdin allows you to magic find more places and do more level 85 areas. I start the season between 300 and 400mf blizz, when uniques are high. When I make the hdin, I drop to 250ish mf. Faster clearing and more rare and magic items. With the new 20min delay between creating game, the blizz sorc can really only do 14mins of runs.
