trying to completely wipe out all data and make a fresh format on this macbook.

i have a burned copy of the OS and tried to format it and after a hell of a long time finally got it to wipe out all the data and start formating but it got stuck at 28%

i restarted computer and i get a white screen now...

What do ? O.O....

or ur cd was not burn'd correctly

the CD is burned fine, i had it verified at the end and no erros

In mac, you can't reformat unless you get into desktop right? because that's how i reformated in the first place through the desktop

When i stick the DVD in, the macbook 80% of the time ejects it, same with many other of my OS cd's

You can boot your Mac from a disk in the CD / DVD drive by inserting the disk into the drive and on system boot holding down the C key.

no clue havn't used it in ages
Just took it out of drawer and trying to reformat it so i can sell it

turn off it remove the batter run it on power supply & try
its just the harddrive "arm" thing getting stuck sometimes tht also caused tht white screen

if u good wid hardware you can also
try unplugging hard drive cables n back up

or replacing them

first problem, it's a mac.

try booting from a live flash drive.

get LiLi usb creator, download a linux os (make sure it has a GUI) try to boot to flash drive.

idk i don't touch macs. apple does shit ass backwards.
