here’s a bunch of items you need to obtain to be able to enter the unicorn level:
Black Mushroom – Found rarely in a room on Cathedral level one.
Wirt’s Cowbell – Act II vendor sells it for 100,000 gold.
Liquid Rainbow – Spawns in the Mysterious Cave in the Mysterious Chest in the Oasis, Act 2. Save the old man and he will open the chest.
Gibbering Gemstone – Random drop from Chiltara in the Caverns of Frost, Act 3. It’s in the Ballistae fight area. If you get Ice Caverns exit out try again. The mob is random.
Leoric’s Shinbone – Found rarely in the fireplace in Leoric’s Manor
Plan: Staff of Herding – To teach the recipe to Haedrig. Drops randomly from Izual, Act 4.

Use the Plans and materialen to have Haedrig craft you the Staff of Herding.
Then take the waypoint to the old ruins in act 1, head up north towards the Road to Old Tristram, with the staff in your inventory.
Somewhere nearby the Old Ruins you should find a chasm with a cow's skeletten lying next to it.
It's roughly where the chasm to Hell was in Diablo 1. If you haven't played Diablo 1, shut down the game and do that first because you seriously should.
Anyways, if you find the skeleton, click it and the ghost of Gonnagal the Cow King will open the portal to Whimsyshire for you.

No, you get to keep the staff.
Later on you can buy plans for a Nightmarish staff of herding in nightmare act IV, I think the shopkeeper doesnt always sell it, and that its just randomized. (Not sure though.)
With these plans you can have Haedrig upgrade your staff for nightmare for 200k.
I dont know about Hell/Inferno, I'm not there yet.

it will be very worth the 8hours of farming to get the items and then 700k IGG to make a inferno staff and do runs for hours and get all your profit with in a 1-3days and then itll just be cool to have

You have to be at izual quest for get the merchand selling the plan.
