Before you read on, I will say:
It is highly improbable that I will, in any condition, give first. Below is a good reason and example, hopefully I can be trusted enough to "take a gander" with, or You can request Mediator. I'm down for whatever. If you're a recent member that's been scanning around to buy and buy on different threads, and only want to receive first, I'm not your man. Moving on -

So far I've made only one trade - I've traded with Pinko for some keys -- he gave first, and everything went smooth even though there were a few discrepancies due to disabled keys

could probably ask him to post to confirm, just thought I'd toss that in since he seems like a more respectable member than myself alone

here is my offer:

1k vs $14 USD or $15 CAD (PayPal only), you pay fees - so if by PayPal or moneybookers, you are sending me around $15 USD or $16 CAD (PayPal only), or less, so long as I received $14 USD or $15 CAD per 1k d2jsp on the Dot. Also, if you're sending me PayPal, it will be Gift and nothing less - if it isn't I'll simply give you back the money and tell you to try again. This is part of my anti-scam measurement listed below. And yes I'm aware you can still Chargeback gifts.

I'm not a verified Paypal or a moneybookers account holder either, so after our chats, if you can't come to trust me, I Encourage finding a MED. I will try to help in the process too.

In the end, your Safest bet = Full Tilt Poker. I may open myself up for more money processing options eventually, but I don't find it necessary; these three options will probably cover most, if not all, of what people use.

To clarify once again : $14 USD on PayPal, moneybookers, and FTP. I only accept $15 CAD on PayPal, but I doubt anyone would pay me by CAD anyway.

But the best method would really be 1k vs $14 USD on Full Tilt. This is also my preferred method, as it would eliminate all potential scams (hopefully) - and speaking of potential scams -

My personal defense : When we're trading, we're probably going to discuss all of this on MSN. I will keep -
a) screenshots of the conversation exchanges,
b) my gold logs (obviously, they won't change once I send), and
c) specific details on the requirements of the trade - i.e. asking you to agree to policies, state something when trading me via paypal and paying credit, and so on.

These are only a few of my defense measures against chargeback/fraudulent claims. Please don't waste my time trying to scam me, you will be wasting yours too. I will also post screenshots (erasing out the private details like the jsp accounts and so forth, unless I'm given permission to post them) to show that deals have gone through - other people post stuff like "vouch I traded this guy was smooth trade 5kfg", but I don't really believe that coming from a guy who joined yesterday with 3 posts.

I have a new account on jsp that I made elsewhere, that I will be using to do small trades - trades WILL be done in small increments from the start - for your safety and mine - but once we become familiar with each other (if you buy rather often or a lot from me), then you'll probably get to see my main. You'll probably trust me by then, and even more so when you see my main. To lay down the basics, I'm an 07 member with rainbow orb and less than 10k posts (for ambiguity). Deals can be cut on larger / regular purchases of course.

Post your interested amount, then PM me, then if things look good we'll proceed to discussing the agreement.

Thanks for your read, i know it was tl;dr but I don't want to leave out any gaps as I plan to stay here for a long time - like some of the other respected members here.

p.s. Ask all questions Here on the thread, I'd like to know what I've missed or what seems ambiguous and so would the other people interested. I'm not hiding anything so.. yeah.
