Why is it when I make a screenshot it takes my desktop and what's in the screen in one shot ?

put it explorer in full window to avoid it.

you should get a program that does screenshots so you can choose which portions you want. I use Screengrab! which is a firefox addon. It can even screenshot the whole page or frame. Pretty sweet for some situations.

The image shown on the left side was the only thing on my screen when I hit Print Screen,
and the rolling hills with the sky is my desktop my desktop was under it and it set it to the side and doubled the screenshot.
