This is a simple code-patch-based version hack that enables Battle.net connectivity on version 1.13d

How to apply the version hack:

1. Move all files and folders in the "D2 Simple Version Hack 2025" folder to the D2 installation folder, overwriting any duplicate files (the location of the original Game.exe file).

2. Install the DCDGRoot.cer certificate located in the "Misc -> Certificate" folder to your computer's "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" store. (See screenshot, #by Imba)

3. Apply administrator privileges to the Game.exe file properties and play. (If all steps are successful, the version display will change to 1.14.)

Note:

1. The VH_FIX folder and CheckRevision.dll file are required, so be careful not to delete or rename them.

2. If using with D2NT, delete the D2NT_FIX.dll file from the NT folder.

3. If using with Maphack, delete the VH.dll file from the Maphack folder. (Existing version hack file)

4. If an mpq error occurs during initial launch of the game, move all files in the "Misc -> MpqFixer" folder to the Diablo installation folder and run the FIX_MPQS_RUN_AS_ADMIN.bat file once with administrator privileges.

5. Applying Windows 98 compatibility is unnecessary, so skip it.

6. If you need to reduce CPU usage for bots or other purposes, refer to the code patch description below and use the files in the "Misc -> CPU Fix" folder.

The following code patches have been applied to make version hack work and to improve some convenience.

AntiExtraWork -- Bnclient.dll
Prevents hacking detection by blocking the anti-cheat program ExtraWork.

Game Exit Lag Fix -- D2Net.dll
Fixes game exit lag issues, #by Gemini ♡

RD Blocker -- D2Multi.dll
Prevents realm down

FTJ Reducer -- D2Client.dll
Reduces game join failure delay from 30 seconds to 5 seconds

Hyperjoin -- D2Client.dll
Removes character join delay for OpenBattle.net and TCP/IP games

Battlenet Version Checking Fix -- Bnclient.dll
Fixes Battle.net version check login issues

Multi Copy Enable -- D2gfx.dll
Enables multiple client executions

OutGame Loop Fix -- D2Win.dll
Minimizes outgame CPU usage for menu screens, title screens, character selection screens, and lobbies

Disables TCPIP Game Version Checking -- D2Game.dll
Prevents connection failures to TCP/IP games with different versions

Enigma Teleport Bug Fix -- D2Client.dll
Fixed an issue where teleport skills would disappear when examining equipment with teleport skills (e.g., an Orb) while equipped with a Enigma.

RandTransforms Bug Fix -- D2Client.dll
Fixed an issue where red monsters would not spawn due to a bug related to RandTransforms.dat.

DLL Injection -- D2Win.dll
Injected the CheckRevision.dll file from the VH_FIX folder into the game.

CPU Fix File Related

PeekMessage Loop Fix -- D2Client.dll
Disables the PeekMessage loop, forcing the game to always be in standby mode. This significantly reduces FPS and minimizes CPU usage to 1-2%, This option is suitable for botting.

Sleep(1) Main Loop Fix -- D2Client.dll
Adds a small delay to the main loop to prevent 100% CPU usage. This will slightly decrease FPS and reduce CPU usage by 20-30%. This option provides a good compromise between FPS and CPU usage.

VirusTotal scan results indicate that some original, unmodified 1.13d files (D2VidTst.exe, Diablo II.exe, D2Direct3D.dll) were flagged as malware for unknown reasons. These detections are false positives, so the files are safe to use.
