havent botted in a nice few years and wondering what bot is used now.

i think i heard of etal but not kol

I havnt botted since jsp was a botting site.

is there a better of the two bots listed?
how easy are they to set up?
and is there guides on how to set it up and maybe with more then one cd key

Pretty sure etal is the best atm. Just got to their site (project etal) and they have plenty of guides.

Some things kolbot has that etal doesn't:

Realm down blocker (have to have multiple keys)
Mini shopbot (when buy pots it will scan for items which takes 0 seconds)
Chant script it can chant while botting
Follow script u can do walkthrough and ur bots will help fight/follow on commands
Packet casting/ speedmod which is an option u can disabled
Charged strike zons can farcast
Chaos walk script for leveling level 1 characters (better then etals)
Doesn't get dropped when u type .........................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,------------------------------------ 255
Autobaal script will allow your leachers to get exp shrine quick in act 1 (quick) then goes in safe tps and leeches more exp (not sure if etal does this)
For claw shopping most people use kolbot over etal (i used it and shopped many claws)

And several other things etal dont do that kol does...

I am using kolbot for my runner, and etal for my leech attack bot. Someone else setup my kolbot runners for me and I love it. I prefer the kolbot and intend to use kolbot for my leecher as soon as I can get some help in setting it up. Etal is good, but I still prefer kolbot for my simple needs of leveling my leechers and pking the hostilers because of the Packet casting/ speedmod which allows my chars to operate with max breakpoints. It works great.
