I never had a father myself so i cant relate but i do have kids. As a father i only wish the best and the hope that i am doing well as a father. Your dad is only doing what he is supposed to do as a dad whether its dorky, too personal, or whatever the reason. You should be happy you have a father let alone one that is nice and caring. Would you rather him be abusive and shallow?

never knew my dad
i lived with my brother who took care of me till iwas 16
then got a job and moved on
my brother became a dad for me and i really liked him
my parents died of cancer when i was 6 and y bro was 17 then
im always kinda sad when somebody talks about relatives that way , u should appreciate your dad the way he is hes just wishing u good , my bro died 3 yeas ago from cancer as well so im kinda last one in my family, loner

Well my dad is a different person now than when I was younger. Now he don't even remember me as his son, but that's cool what goes around comes around. It will all work out in the wash. I had surgery back in May and he didn't even call me to see how I was doing. Then again I didn't expect him too.
