Here's a few easy steps in order to trade safely:
• Use a forum helper, junior moderator, moderator, senior moderator, user with high amount and good quality of reps. Use them in the order provided.
• Do a background check: type their aim, Paypal or any other information under control f on the scammer list sticky and check the first page of the scammer complaint forum.
• WAIT: no matter how quick u can get FG, it's irrelevant if you get scammed.
• If there is none of the above that you can do, ask in the shout box about the legitness of the person you're trading.


What Is A Reputation?
A rep is way to document a sucessful or unsucessful trade, when dealing with reps, there's four things you should always keep into consideration:

Where are the reps coming from? Are they from staff members? respected traders? scammers? virgins?
What is the period of time between reps, has this user shown up after not being repped for a year? has this user gotten twenty reps within 10 minutes from scammer accounts? these things should ring bells.
If a rep is repping as BM or a negatively, check the BM rep, you could be judging by a dislike in the forum between two users, do a little research and see the history behind the two traders.
Along with rep, warn logs are a great indicator of the reppers history, you could see notes such as false repping, scamming, and abusing forum privileges, which show that a user leaving a rep or trading could have a past history of mis-use of the rep feature.



IP Scans
Before trading a new user, always ask the staff team to do an IP Scan, this could help prevent an easy scam by cross-referencing their IP with that of another scammers.
