Selling real life items for virtual good?

I was wondering since I would like to sell PC parts for D3 igg. I've done a trade with WhySoSneaky and I sent first since he seemed trustworthy. Anyway do mediators take parts in this kind of trades or has a trade like this been done before in this forum? If so how was it done effectively/smoothly?

The mods I pm'd didnt want to deal with a trade like this. Just wondering how I should do these w/o me going first all the time.

I think they wont mediate this cuz its just too hard to mediate and therefor on your own risk.
It might be better to do it via ebay or so.

Ah ok, I've never dealt with ebay. Is there a way to do a private auction or something? So only that person can see it/buy it

I bumped this toxhit 506 posts.. lol nah but seriously if your selling online your best bet is ebay.. that way u can receive payment first unless you use a site like this and your the one selling the item so ofc your gonna make sure you receieve the $$ before sending anything... (;
