Site Upgrade

An upgrade itself wouldn't cost a dime if the person with FTP/Webroot access is doing it.

If the owner doesn't know how to and needs someone to edit his scripts, then it's only a matter of finding someone that knows how to do it.

And to all the "This forum needs upgrades" deal. If they do upgrades, the next thing you'll be complaining about is the downtime.

It shouldn't be down longer than 12-24 hours. Nobody would care as long as it improves.

It needs a fuck load of upgrading. It's been years overdue.

No downtime should be more than 10 minutes, unless something goes wrong.

Even then, that's why you backup the site..

It took like 6 hours to fix when Florian Bach keylogged Vitan and had control of the AC.

God knows. It's not secure and it's not safe. It needs to be upgraded and better protected.

Most of the time I forget to backup my files. It only takes a second to do and should be done at least every week.

Some people do daily backups of certain files. I'm sure d2jsp does full backups at least once a day. lol

Tramway does not. I highly doubt it's even backed up once a month. sleep

There is no reason to upgrade to phpbb3, phpbb3 sucks and is even slower than 2 plus we would have to redo the entire forum, including every single custom script every written. We will stay on phpbb2. Cory, you should understand how to code before opening your mouth.

What I will do though, is to continue to write code and update new features
