As you look through threads, and create your own trade threads, you may sometimes come into question of a certain user. This is here to tell you what to look for in a user, so that you know if they are a good potential trade or not!
Section 1)
How to tell if a user is OK to trade with(some may seem like common sense:(
- If they have a Scammer Tag/Locked Gold DO NOT trade with them.
- Check Scammer/Reputation Complaints to make sure there are no open cases pending for your buyer/seller
- Cross Check if their Name/Paypal Email/d2jsp account already exists in the Scammer List
- Check their previous posts(if any) to see how their trades went, and how they conduct business.
- View their reputation comments(if any) to see what other users think of them
- Watch out for any suspicious signs, like your potential trade partner telling you to do something that you think you shouldn't do, never do something in the trade that you feel uncomfortable.
- Check their overall activity/post count/join date. If anything seems out of place, keep that in mind when trading with this user.
- If they ask you to trade upfront, and you don't think they feel trustworthy DO NOT trade with them, they can/might take your money and leave you hanging.
Note: Even if the user LOOKS trustworthy, this does NOT guarantee that they are trustworthy. Always take extreme caution in your trade, never put yourself in a position you don't want to be in! If you are ever unsure please do not hesitate to contact an advisor!
Section 2)
Trading with an Advisor/Staff:
- It is recommended that you call an advisor to the attention of your trade, where they help you complete your trade.
- Once you have an Advisor/Staff ready to help you, you will need to have the program "Teamviewer". Teamviewer is a screensharing program, restricted to a small group of users (only those whom you give your ID/Session Password to, can see your screen), so that Advisors/Staff can watch over trades and make sure things go as planned. You can download Teamviewer here: Teamviewer Website
- You will then give your Teamviewer ID/Password to ONLY the Advisor/Staff helping you, if you are paying via PayPal, Pokerstars etc. The Advisor/Staff will then watch the trade from the side the money is being sent from, while they hold any in-game goods.
- The trade will complete with the in-game goods moving from the Advisor/Staff to the other trader, after the money is sent.
Any questions, feel free to PM an Advisor, or other staff member.
Section 3)
Only PM staff when:
- You are completely ready to trade, and have the battle tag/other information of the person you are trading with. This is not the responsibility of the mediator to gather, only to confirm.
- (If applicable)The user sending via PayPal has Teamviewer installed and ready.
- (If applicable)Any full screen game must be ran in windowed/full screen windowed mode for the duration of the trade for Teamviewer to work properly. _____________________ Can you beat me? |
