Some quick tips, the campaign will make you play Terran, but try out the other races. The styles are all different, and I think Blizzard tried their best to balance them all so don't listen to people that complain one race is over powered.

Once you're accustomed to the game a bit, watch some streams of good zerg players.
Also, tournaments are very nice when a good caster gives insights.
