Currently i have a druid that uses 99/99 mb mdr setup, works well. When i am in DvD duels, most other druids get me because they're 163 fcr vita build. I find using my setup works well for DvA but other casters get me (especially druids) because they can tele faster. Has anyone tried both setups? Which is the best way to go.

The way I see it, you need both setups available at all times ~ I always had that. Strong vita build with 99/99 in DvA - but when dealing with vita sorcs/casters - it can bring you to an advantage to go 163 fcr. But mostly, it's about preference. You wanna tele fast and be defensive or you wanna go crazy and pack a lot of damage.

i see where this is true, however i'm trying to look through my gear and find the best 163 pvp setup. some ppl tell me to get a 20fcr circ, but i find pelts > circs any day.

Yea. I always used a wizzy, iirc. Windy's can have really shitty res, so a wizzy helps a lot.
I can't really remember the math though, lol, it's been like 3 years. but I think I had: 35 fcr spirit, 50, 2x rings, arach + to and then a circ - cause supra poor and couldn't afford a good enough amu. technically, I probably wore one soj while this gear was on.
You should get an amulet with enough fcr. if you use a 35fcr shield, I'm pretty sure you'll only need like 18 fcr, right? cause the 5 from spirit + the 8 = 13? I'm the boss with math.

lol,math boss. i've got a 20fcr ammy already. plus a 7fhr/str/res jewel'd s branch (70 fcr), 35 spir mon, (105 fcr), 2x boss fcr rings (125 fcr), trang gloves (145 fcr). arach would put me at 165, but then i'd lose the dr...or get a circ but then i'd lose some dmg. decisions....

I wouldn't use dungo's unless dueling a ww or a, possibly, a hdin of some sort. My problem with the windy was that I had to change it up most of the time  - I don't know, but if you wanna duel seriously as a windy, you gotta switch between setups.
to clarify: fuck circs, use pelts. Fuck dungo, use arach.
163 fcr like a boss.
