I was there for 10 days...
What an amazing place.
it's more crowded than NYC during the ball drop.
Was a little bit of a culture shock though, as i'm not familiar with any of the language or customs. lol
The flight there was fucking terribleeeeee!!!!
17 hours total on a plain........ _____________________

Were you only in the city or did you get to make it out into the more rural areas? i hear great things about the beauty of the land in the rural areas.
Also, how was the city? was it clean and safe? what was your opinion on the culture? I personally will probably never make it there. but if i ever do my first step would be to go see the ancient architecture and such. Their buildings are beautiful. _____________________

We did get into some rural areas, but only for a day taking the bullet train.
It's so beautiful. I do wish i went there in Spring though to see those beautiful flowers blossom.
Mostly we stayed in the city though. As far as safety goes, as long as you stay in heavily crowded areas, you're fine. We did run into a lot of prostitution and "pimps" In Sinjuku and Akihabara
If you go to Osaka, be sure to check out the massive Ocean aquarium there. They had some amazing animals. lol
the culture was really awkward because the language barrier was so drastic... very few people speak english. We also stayed in a Hostel for a few nights and they have public showers lol
You quite literally take a shower of men that stare at white people.
A white guy in their shower butt naked has a more of an effect than if a Japanese girl were to be naked in there. lol
As far as cleanliness, Tokyo was VERY clean. the streats were cleaned by crews every morning. Osaka, on the other hand, wasn't so clean. =)
If you get the chance, you should definitely go. It's a trip worth taking. _____________________

thank you for your insight mi amigo. Ive always wanted to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom as well. every since i seen the last samurai lol. Eww public showers.. i cant handle public showers.. hell i wont even use public restrooms unless there are stalls with locks lmao. (ya its wierd but, eh)
i could definitly understand the language barrier. nothing in japanese or any of the oriental languages look even close to english lol, probably couldnt even make inferences like with french and spanish.
Big fan of aquariums. The one in Pittsburgh (closest zoo/aquarium to me) has a little kids tunnel where you can crawl underneath the sting rays and stuff... they look at you funny as an 18 year old crawling through it but its still cool as hell either way. Wish they made like a tunnel system through an aquarium so you could get a close look at all the different aquatic creatures.
All in All, sounds like a very interesting place. Adding it to my list of places to see before i die.
1. belize
2. costa rican jungles
3. amazon rainforest
4. japan
hell ya lol _____________________

Lol!
Well, not all bathrooms are public. The personal hotels that we did get had like "pod" style bathrooms inside of your room. Public TOILETS to go #2 in for men is fucking whack... It's quite literally a hole in the ground with no back support. You hover over it and hold your cock and balls and use the restroom. pretty awkward. lol I didn't use it, but i sure as hell saw it.
The metro system there is the most CONFUSING thing I have ever seen.
There is like 3 different metro lines to transfer back and forth from and when you buy your ticket, it doesn't tell you that you're probably going to want to buy both main lines.
Personally, next places on my list are going to be
Caribbean
Munich, Germany
Caribbean will be a cruise and Germany will be a 9 day trip this summer.
Reason i'm going there is to immerse myself in the language because i'm trying to learn it.
I would love to go to Germany for Beer fest _____________________

I was in Tokyo for one night with a group of my Marine buddies. Our intentions were to get plastered drunk that night but they definitely didnt have the same types of bars that we have over here. Everything was very quiet and mellow over there. We changed that for a couple hours!

Idk what bar you guys went to, but I went to that place Gas Panic...
that place was fucking wild.
Was the only reason i got laid on that trip was because of that bar.
it was pretty packed on New years... bitches dancing all on the tables in practically nothing.
that was the highlight of the trip. _____________________
