how practical is it? Can it still be used well or does anyone still use it to make maps? If you do, what kinds do you make?

i used to use it, but that was when I had no internet. just did test maps on it.

I used to think it was good, but now after the latest patch, it's not working anymore, so u can say i think it sucks.

StarEdit works perfectly fine. There are plenty of better editorsa out there now however. X-Tra, StarForge, and SCM Draft 2.
I use Scmd personally.
