I would say Diablo 3 is a lot better than Diablo 2. D2 is a dying game with a small communiy. Diablo 3 has a pretty big community plus AH so you can make real money while playing a game you enjoy.

I personally enjoy d2 a lot more, d3 is repetitive and boring to me
