I want to paint my xbox 360 controller, but i've heard that the paint can come off easily. Is there some kind of finish i can put on to both keep the glossy color, and prevent the paint from chipping or cracking? Any help at all would be very much appreciated!

Just go to an arts and crafts place, and ask if they have any finish that can go over paint so it wont rub off on hands.

I find it easier just to repaint it though.

That sounds like too much trouble over a controller. You can just buy a silicone cover for it. They cost around $10.

Use appliance epoxy.
