Just a personal preference on the gear, I think it works the best to make your smiter the best it can be, now keep in mind this is if you can afford these things.

The reason for the dex is because smiters should charge and smite, and won't be blocking.

You can mess around with the skills, sometimes I'll add one to foh, and one to convic, and one to zeal, just makes it funner.

Yessir.
Use a +2 Pally/20+ Str/50+ Life Amulet (Dex or Resists would be nice, but not really needed)
