well yesterday morning i was asleep and my mother yelled in my door should i install windows service pack 3 on xp being that i was half asleep i said yes ( thinking what could be wrong with a service pack )

well in the agree ment you have to click ok to

it says you are giving microsoft pirmision to check your computer randomly for illegal software ( wouldnt this cause the slowdown like a virus scan while they scanned it and be very high on well spying on you )

cause how else could you look for it wihtout looking at all the files

im staying with service pack 2 and if this ever gets to obsoulte ill just switch to linux unless this gets removed

just a warning to all

i dont think its possible to check for illegal softwares on ur computer as it'll violate their privacy policies anyways. Are u sure it is not just the Genuine Windows advantage that checks if Windows XP is genuine?

i don't really update it either and i just use spyware shit to check for viruses.

I have to say XP>Vista for the time being vista has potential to become better imo. But i dont think that was right ima have to go with tram on this one that seems like a violation of there own policies.
