I just got scammed and was just about to make a post when I thought to myself - damn, I might be getting 10% for this. but I posted anyways in hope that the mods/trusted's/crew would have some sympathy for me, and they had smile

anyways, I was thinking of a Scammer Alert Anouncer?

I know this could be abused, but .. hear me out!

A announcer, or a big red letter somewhere that it could be easy to notice for the users around the forum, if there's any trading around the forum? cant tell, I have yet to explore tongue

this would prevent people from getting scammed on a scamming-sphree, like, a scammer scams multiple victims within short time just so he can get as much as he can as fast as possible before the crew decides to lock/ban him.

you would have to klick the ''announcer'' thingy and a red message would pop up somewhere, so users would know.

then, after, the mods check it and see's it. but you have to be able to ''proove'' that he scammed you, like, with some valid screenshot's/goldlogs/conversation s/s

I know you can just report it in the s/a but really, it still takes a few hours for the staff to review it and finally come to an conclusion and within that time the scammer got his time to scam ^^ so.. yeah. sorry for my disoriented english, but I hope you understand ~~

but as i said - i'd rather see 2-3 spam topics about scammers, then 2-3 people getting scammed just because a thing like this does not exist.

let me know what you think ^^..

This would also prevent people from spamming ' xxx scammed me for 20$ damn basterd'' etcetera..

Vouch mate I also got a few verbal warns trying to warn people, they got scammed afterall.

thought about stuff like that aswell, a sticky called something like "users currently in review"
where simply users that are accused will get posted with a link to the topic

but on the other hand we dont support most of the trades and its on your own risk, as seen in the other sticky's

I think its a good idea but its not necessary.
If every user would not be to lazy to look up the scammer forum some scammings would never happen.

it could be, but could also be abused very easily.

say I was trading with you shine, and i wanted you to go first, even though my intention was not to scam....you could act like it is and put my name out there as a scammer.

therefor abusing this system.
